Delta Driftwood's pieces usually require very little preparation before offering for sale
to you. Wood that requires intensive cleaning is not part of our inventory for two
reasons: Its a lot of work! Dirty or algae covered wood is usually too wet and degraded
to be of use to anyone, no matter how interesting the piece may be.
Each piece of Delta Driftwood is put through a simple process before shipment.
Pressure wash to remove any foreign debris. Series of soft to medium brushings to clean
grain. Pressure wash number 2. Air dry. Soft brush. Pressure air blast.
Occasionally we will use a 100% natural, biodegradable soap in the first brushing process
but this is more the exception than the rule.
